Shirt - Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)
The Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) franchise has grown immensely in popularity over 2019 and 2020. With this popularity also brings a plethora of merchandise, goods and apparel. One popular line of Demon Slayer fan clothing are T-shirts. Currently on the market there are a variety of types of clothing and T-shirts such as an array of kimono pattern shirts (4 styles), Verdy Tokyo soccer team collaborations (5 styles), and character illustration designed shirts (5 styles) available for purchase. Demon Slayer shirts can be purchased from the official website and also officially licensed sellers.
Zenitsu Agatsuma design
The most recently displayed T-shirt on the official website is the Zenitsu Agatsuma design. It is an all black shirt with an illustration of the character Zenitsu Agatsuma sleeping in a standing position holding his sword unsheathed in a triangular frame. At the bottom of the Zenitsu illustration is the word "Thunder" in large white bold letters with no filling, following the word "Breathing" written in white. Underneath the word "Breathing" is a bold red colored kanji character for thunder or lightning 雷 (kaminari). Portraying Zenitsu’s powerful fighting technique. Verdy Tokyo Soccer Team Shirts
Another popular T-shirt line up is the Verdy Tokyo soccer team shirts. These are limited edition shirts which will sell from July 20th, 2019 to August 18th, 2020 and are selling at $98. They are all green with dark green on the sides of the shirts. "Kimetsu no Yaiba" is written in English on the front of the shirt in gold, with the logo on the upper right breast area and the Verdy Tokyo logo on the upper left breast. On the back of the shirts are either of the five most popular character's names written in gold: Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, or Giyu along with a number.
Another Verdy Tokyo collaboration shirt is on sale for a limited time until August 18th. This shirt is all green with all 5 characters in chibi form (small bodies with big heads) playing soccer. At the bottom corner of the illustration is the Verdy Tokyo logo. This shirt is on sale for $45.
Selling exclusively on the official website are 4 styles of the logo. One style is an all white shirt with the kanji characters written vertically in black taking up the whole shirt, 悪鬼滅殺 (akki mesatsu, which roughly translates as 'obliterate evil demons'). The second style is an all dark beige colored shirt with Ukiyo-e (woodblock print) style of an all black illustration of Tanjiro in traditional samurai armor and his name in bold kanij characters. The third style and fourth styles are both all black shirts with white illustrations and text. The third design is Nezuko peeking from out of a basket resembling Tanjiro's box he carries her throughout the series. The fourth design is Inosuke's board head in the middle of his two swords, his name is at the bottom of the illustration and at the top is "Demon Slayer." These shirts are all on sale for $29.99.
The last set of T-shirts are simple kimono-haori pattern prints of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Giyu, and a boar head design for Inosuke. Tanjiro's black and green checkered pattern is on the front of the all green shirt with a black and white illustration of his water breathing technique in the corner of the pattern and his name written in Japanese order, Kamado Tanjiro. The second design is Zenitsu's pattern with his name written in Japanese order in all white. The third design is an all blue shirt with Inosuke's board head resting between two swords, and his name written in Japanese order. On the two sides of the swords are the words "ChouTotsu MouShin!" which would be roughly translated as "bum-rush!" Lastly, the fourth design is Giyu Tomioka's pattern design. The shirt is maroon red, and on the left side are the green, yellow, and orange square turtle shell designs with his name written in Japanese order, Tomioka Giyuu, in white. These shirts are selling for $28.

Where to Buy
Many designs are of the five characters: Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Giyu. Designs of other members of the Demon Slayer Corps are rare compared to the main characters. However, custom made designs through independent artists is possible, or even creating your own. Anime goods stores are the second place to look for shirts. Sometimes fans may be able to find unique designs created by an independent artist for a reasonable price. Other options would be to purchase shirts at a Demon Slayer specific convention or exhibition.
Price
T-shirts sold online depend on authenticity and design quality for pricing. Purchasing directly from the official website would cost more due to authenticity.
Other websites will sell based upon the quality of the illustrations. Because of this, some graphic design shirts may start at $30.
Some fans would feel uncomfortable with purchasing graphic shirts from an independent artist because of quality issues. However, purchasing via an independent artist can be the cheapest option due to the possibility of negotiating prices.
