Nendoroid - Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)
A line of plastic figures produced by the Japanese Good Smile Company in 2006, the Nendoroid collection. These usually represent characters from anime, manga or video games, and are designed to offer them a cute look with a big head and smaller body. Their faces as well as other parts of the body are interchangeable, allowing them an array of different gestures and poses. These figures continue to release new characters every year in order to keep up with new popular anime and games.
Introduction
The nendoroid series of toys, released by the goodsmile group, are a collection of palm-sized figures of "chibi" style from various animes, movies, and more. In the series collectors can select, view, and customize over 1000 figures. The things the Nendroid comes with are extra pieces that they can keep or view, and various gestures that can be switched with. Around 100 mm in height, because they are easy to view on most surfaces, and can be attached to a frame.
Nendoroid Merchandise
- Nendoroid-Petite - The Nendoroid petite series are smaller than their predecessors being 65mm in height.
- Nendoroid-More - Alternate outfits, and extra parts that you can use to further customize Nendoroids.
- Nendoroid Plus - Designs based on the Nendoroid illustrations, they come in straps, plushies, and more. They are miscellaneous goods that are related to the Nendoroid series.
- Nendoroid Co-De - Mixing and matching the parts of various outfits, they provide a new style of customization for Nendoroids.
- Nendoroid Heads - Featuring the same Nendoroid faces, but a more detailed alternate doll-like body that can be adorned in different outfits while retaining the form of the palm scale. The Nendoroid Doll is about 140 mm long including the part of the mouth. It has four shades based on chocolate, cocoa, cream and almond milk. There are magnets at the base of the foot which can attach to the foundation and other metallic surfaces.
Kimetsu no Yaiba Series Nendoroid
Currently there are two characters available in the Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) Nendoroid lineup. Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado.
Nendoroid Tanjiro Kamado 1193
Tanjiro Kamado is the main character from Kimetsu no Yaiba Demon Slayer. The nendoroid comes with three facial masks, including its normal face, an expression of war, and a gentle smile. Tanjiro is a teenage boy with an olive skin and a body of athletics. He's ruffled, black hair with burgundy tips, combed back to reveal his forehead, and broad dark eyes with large pupils becoming lighter across his lower irises. He also has a scar on his forehead at the top left, which he received when he shielded his younger brother from a falling brazier. Additional pieces include his black Nichirin Blade and portions of the impact that show his First Style: Water Surface Slice and Second Style: Water Wheel manga techniques. Priced at ¥5,273 was released on 2020 March, and 2020 July.
Nendoroid Nezuko Kamado 1194
Nezuko Kamado is the sister of Tanjiro Kamado, and one of the main characters in the series Kimetsu no Yaiba Demon Slayer. She comes with a standard expression and her demon face, as well as punching and kicking pose. Comes with her box that Tanjiro carries on his back as an optional part. Priced at ¥5,000, Nezuko Nendoroid was released on 2020 April, and 2020 in August. The demon girl Nezuko and her brother, Tanjiro are shown fighting demons. The second round of preorders for Nendoroid Nezuko Kamado came from the famous anime series, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" She arrives with a regular smile and a ghastly demon's mouth. Her action poses such as when the character is punching and kicking as a Demon can easily be reconstructed in the form of Nendoroid that comes with enhanced powers. She arrives with her package that Tanjiro holds as an extra component on his back, which can also be shown on Nendoroid's Tanjiro Kamado that is sold separately.
Nezuko is known as a great beauty in her hometown according to Tanjiro.
She appears as a fair skinned young girl, with long dark brown hair that reaches just below her waist, where it starts to take on a vermilion color at the elbows. A pink ribbon to the side tying her bangs together revealing her forehead. She has slanted downwards wide narrow eyebrows framing her face. Notably she has long eyelashes covering her soft-looking pink eyes, gradually taking on a lighter color around the rims of the irises. The shape of her petite nose takes a slightly upturned appearance at the tip.
Nezuko is usually wearing a gag made of bamboo secured by red cloth around her jaw received from Giyu Tomioka. Her attire consists of a Sakura colored kimono with a geometric triangle design, secured by a checker patterned red and white obi embraced by an orange thread looped above the waist. Complimenting her kimono is a long dark brown haori which reaches down past her knees. Straw zori sandals and white socks wrapped around dark brown thick bands.
