A Look at Berserker (Fate) Figures

Berserker is arguably the most fun, versatile, and interesting Servant Class in the entirety of the Fate franchise. With it, the Holy Grail has called great behemoth-sized Servants like Heracles and Spartacus. Then we get the other side of the spectrum, with petite and cute types like Raikou and Tamamo. Cute, sure, but capable of doing just as much collateral damage to an entire city as the mean-looking bruisers. And more often than not, Berserkers get right down to business. They are not Heroic Spirits of many words, like in the cases of Frankenstein and Lancelot. You can keep your long monologues, Heroic Spirit Emiya. All we need is our mayhem to move the action along.

The TOM Shop has procured several of these Berserker favorites for the fans when they have been celebrated as collectible figures. Now, just about anyone can be the Master of a beast imbued with Mad Enhancement. Let’s discuss a few of the figures that have been available one time or another at TOM.

Fate/Grand Order Berserker/Minamoto-no-Raikou 1/7 Scale Figure (Re-run)
The True Name of this Berserker is Minamoto no Raikou, or Raikou for short. Although there are now hundreds of known Servants in existence thanks to Fate/Grand Order, we figure Raikou has gotta be one of the top five most well-endowed characters ever created. For those who don’t know, well-endowed means she was blessed in the boobies department. As is the case of many similar characters in Japanese anime, the massive mammaries are a huge symbol of a maternal love. So there you have, perfectly good reason for huge boobs. Mama stuff. Not lewd stuff.

The manufacturer, Bellfine Co.,Ltd., actually gave us plenty more to appreciate in this piece than her chest. As a Heroic Spirit out of the samurai period, Raikou is beautifully decked out in a stunning lavender latex outfit with an impressive arsenal of weapons to match, just as she’s illustrated in her 1st Ascension. She’s depicted here with arrows and a bow taller than she is, as well as her katana, Doujigiri Yasutsuna. The tail sheath doesn’t really coordinate well with the colors of the rest of her outfit, but hey, it’s canon. She has a lovely sharp look to her face that continues the sleek shape of her body. Best of all, you can pose her with or without her top garments, able to fully recreate her look in 2nd Ascension.

The figure up for sale at TOM is actually a re-run because it was so popular. Get it while supplies last!

Fate/Grand Order Saber/Frankenstein 1/12 Scale Figure
Let’s take a look at this figure of Frankenstein, again proving the point that Berserker’s don’t always have to look menacing to be menacing. In the Nasuverse, Frankenstein is actually the name given to the monster born of several humans’ different body parts. And instead of scaring us away when we first set eyes on her, we want to ask for her number. She’s an absolute hottie, and we’re happy she’s getting more and more figure treatments.

This particular figure of Frankenstein shows her in her swimsuit from the limited event on Fate/Grand Order. She’s not wearing the standard white dress we see her in during Fate/Apocrypha, but the jury’s still out on which look is better. We guess it’s a matter of personal preference. But the light blue two-piece bikini certainly works wonders on her figure. Sculptor QuailEgg was kind enough to give us Frankenstein with one eye covered by her hair and one not covered. Because both ways are cute and canon. And we also appreciate how the bandages on her leg wrap around it like a ballet dancer’s, again fitting the tone of her swimsuit look. Last but not least is the appearance of Frankenstein’s badass Noble Phantasm weapon, which is the kind of contrast that makes fans batty for her character.

Fate/Grand Order Berserker/Cu Chulainn (Alter) 1/7 Scale Figure
So you’ve watched Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night (any of them) and are familiar with the smooth-talking character, Cu Chulainn, right? Well, throw everything you know about him out the window because here comes the Berserker Class Servant, Cu Chulainn (Alter)! Hot off a death metal music video, Cu Chulainn as depicted in this figure is probably more what pops in mind first when you hear the term Berserker. The sculptor Sato and FREEing made this figure to look the way Cu Chulainn does in his 3rd Ascension in Fate/Grand Order , and they just killed it. The same way Berserker kills everything. No expense was spared to bring his hellish black skeletal armor to life. His legendary spear, Gáe Bolg, now has dozens of it’s own little children spears on it. Awww. Logistically, that should be a design flaw as a real weapon, but hey, this is fiction, so enjoy! Cu Chulainn’s face and chest are covered in tattoos, and the shape of his outfit leads your eyes to his nether regions, where we learn that women aren’t the only ones who can be well-endowed in this franchise. This crazy figure is still up for pre-order if you just need to have a more sinister version of Lancer in your collection.
