Synopsis

Manga artist Hidekichi Matsumoto recalls her fun-filled daily life of raising both a sweet, innocent dog and a devilish yet cute cat. With both furry friends around, there’s sure to be plenty of laughs and tears!

Background

Based on an original essay manga by Hidekichi Matsumoto, the anime adaptation of With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun was first announced via Twitter in December 2019. It is being directed and written by Seiji Kishi with character designs by Kazuaki Morita, music by TAKAROT, and Team Till Dawn handling the animation production. It premiered in Japan on Oct. 2 as part of the Super Animeism programming block on MBS, TBS, BS-TBS, and other channels. It is also available to stream via Crunchyroll. The series is scheduled to run for 24 episodes.

Characters

Hidekichi Matsumoto (Voiced by: Mai Kanazawa)
An animal-loving manga artist.

Inu-kun (Voiced by: Kana Hanazawa)
A dog who is always cheerful and likes cats, Inu-kun is always able to make others happy with her innocence and friendliness.

Neko-sama (Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita)
Neko-sama is a lazy cat who likes to take things at his own pace. Though cool and tough-looking, he has a cute, timid side too.
