Synopsis

In a world with countless gods, a battle among fighting gods called Golixin and their masters has continued since ancient times. That battle is called Kamizmo. One day, a music-loving middle schooler named Dai Mugen meets the god of stone, Gotetsu, when he suddenly falls from the sky. The two become partners with Dai becoming Gotetsu’s master and they begin fighting in the Kamizmo.

Background

Saikyo Kamizmode! is a multimedia project created by Bandai themed after “sumo x taiko drums x music” that includes a trading card rhythm battle arcade game and a TV anime. The anime is being produced by Bandai Namco Pictures and features Mitsutoshi Sato as director with Sayaka Kato and Toshifumi Kawase writing the script, Naoto Tsushima and Yoshinori Iwanaga designing the characters, and onetrap composing the music. The anime premiered in Japan on Oct. 9, 2020 on Tokyo MX.

Characters

Dai Mugen (Voiced by: Yuuki Urushiyama)
Dai is an elementary school student who likes music and has a bright, easy-going personality. He is good at drums but stopped playing when Rin won the drum competition in junior high.

Rin Tanba (Voiced by: Mayu Mineda)
Rin is the master of the Golixin Ryusho. She won the Junior Musician Competition in the drum category.

Kaisei Kishi (Voiced by: Airi Ootsu)
Kaisei comes from a long line of Golixin masters. He has a cool and serious personality and excels at both academics and sports.

Susumu Sonosaki (Voiced by: Yuri Yamaoka)
A small boy who is Dai’s friend, Susumu is a huge fan of Runa. He often listens to music on his smartphone.

Runa Ayama (Voiced by: Sena Horikoshi)
Runa is a popular idol.

Gotetsu (Voiced by: Yuki Shin)
The god of stone who met Dai when he fell from the sky. He has a lion’s mane and a cheerful and passionate personality but can be serious at times when needed. He discovers Dai’s magical powers and scouts him to be a master.

Ryusho (Voiced by:
A Galaxin and god of pens, Ryusho fights in a kung fu stylem

Waldark (Voiced by: Anri Katsu)
Waldark is a Jalixin and god of chains. He speaks in a brotherly tone but can be mean, like when he takes Susumu hostage.

Brodrone (Voiced by: Keita Tada)
Brodrone is a Jalaxin and the god of drones who has agility like that of a ninja.

Bassha (Voiced by: Wataru Yokojima)

Hangnil
Hangnil is a Jalaxin and god of hangers who has a tricky fighting style.

Paraparasso
Paraparasso is a Jalaxin and god of umbrellas. He specializes in wind and water attacks.
