Besides Crypton Future Media-sponsored events, Hatsune Miku has performed in over 50 concerts all across Japan. From 2009 to 2014, she regularly made appearances but has recently limited her activities.

Miku Fest '09

Miku Fest '09 was a live performance event to celebrate Miku's second anniversary, and occurred on August 31, 2009, and had about 2500 spectators. It was held in Shin-Kiba, Tokyo and she performed 25 songs. The main artist was Hatsune Miku, but there were also performances by Vocaloid producers baker, ika & MOSAIC.WAV, DeadballP, Team Moer, Livetune, and ryo. Ogura Yui also attended as a special guest.

Animelo Summer Live

Dwango and Nippon Cultural Broadcasting host the largest annual anime song festival in Japan - Animelo Summer Live (Anisama). Animelo Summer Live has been held every summer since 2005, and Hatsune Miku has participated in it in 2009, 2011 (in Shanghai), and 2012. When held domestically, Animelo Summer Live is generally held at Saitama Super Arena, Japan.

COUNTDOWN JAPAN

Countdown Japan is the largest New Year's Rock Festival in Japan, hosted at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. The event features over 100 musical acts with many of them being electronic artists. Every year since 2003, Countdown Japan has taken place from December 28 through to the early hours of January 1. Hatsune Miku appeared in the 2012/2013 event, together with popular electronic artist Teddyloid to a packed audience.

Let's Play with Miku in Greenland!

From March 16 to May 6, 2013, the Kumamoto Greenland theme park in Kumamoto Prefecture held a special event named “Let's Play with Hatsune Miku!”, featuring Miku and other Vocaloid characters. The theme park was kitted out with Vocaloid decorations as the park was filled with Vocaloid cosplayers, illustrations, figures, character goods, and even a life-sized statue of Hatsune Miku. There was even a special stage show by Kumamoto's famous mascot Kumamon.

SONICMANIA

SONICMANIA is an overnight music festival held the night before Summer Sonic Tokyo, and is hosted by Makuhari Messe. The event brings over mostly international musicians to perform but in 2013, Hatsune Miku gave a performance.

HATSUNE MIKU DREAMS OF ELECTRIC SHEEP

The Nucleus Art Gallery in Alhambra, California partnered with Crypton Future Media, Inc. and opened an exhibition of Hatsune Miku paintings from various artists across America and in various art styles. Among the highlights were limited-edition Miku prints, exhibition T-shirts, the Gallery Exhibition Catalog with free download card for a special Hatsune Miku EP, Snow Miku goods that were available for the first time outside of Japan, and a steamy bun food truck. The exhibition lasted from July 2 to July 19, 2015.

JOIN ALIVE 2015

Join Alive is an annual outdoor music festival that takes place in Hokkaido's Iwamizawa during the summer. Miku performed at the event in 2015.

Hatsune Miku x Kodo

From March 4-5, 2017 a special joint performance between Hatsune Miku and the Japanese taiko-playing group "Kodo" was held at the NHK Hall. This was part of the "Tokyo Olympics Official Program" with the goal of spreading the charm of Japanese culture

DIVE XR FESTIVAL supported by SoftBank

A music festival where characters from anime, games, manga, virtual singers, and Virtual YouTubers, as well as AI, coexist and perform together. It occurred from September 22 to September 23, 2019, and Hatsune Miku performed in it on both days.

LIGHT UP NIPPON HOKKAIDO

A memorial event for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami catastrophe that destroyed the Tohoku region in 2011, Light Up Nippon Hokkaido's show aimed to commemorate the region's reconstruction and to give the survivors of the tragedy a smile through a firework-filled sky night on August 25. It had performances from many artists, including Miku.
