Synopsis

“Good, make me your owner.”
Toshiaki Gozu is a straggler in society. One day, he is shot dead and wakes up to find that he’s been reincarnated into the world of his favorite video game, and what’s more, standing before him is the game’s final boss, the Demon King Evelogia, whom he has longed to meet since he was a child! Gozu wastes no time in confessing his love for the lonely Demon King and begins wooing him. Thus, a world domination BL between a cute Demon King on the verge of despair and a masochistic man who’s in love with him begins!

Background

Reincarnated into Demon King Evelogia's World is a manga series written and illustrated by Io Kajiwara that has been serialized on the ComicFesta service under the BL Screamo label since April 2020. It is published under the Glanz BL comics imprint, and the first collected tankobon volume was released in February 2021. A special edition featuring a drama CD also went on sale at the same time. The manga is also being released in English through the Coolmic service.

A TV anime adaptation is being produced by Studio Hokiboshi (Fire in His Fingertips -My Childhood Friend is a Fireman-, Overflow, Simple yet Sexy) and features Sanae Nagi as director with Eeyo Kurosaki (F**d by My Best Friend, Overflow, The Titan's Bride) and Sanae handling the scripts, Yoko Iwakura (Anonymous Noise, Keijo!!!!!!!!, Shonen Maid) handling the character designs, and Hisashi Nakamoto (ACTORS: Songs Connection, Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, Super Lovers) and Yoko credited as the chief animation directors. The anime’s theme song is "Change the world" by Shun Horie and Takuya Sato.

Similar to previous ComicFesta Anime (now called AnimeFesta), it will feature an all-ages “on air version” and an explicit “premium version” which will be available to stream on AnimeFesta. However, unlike many previous ComicFesta Anime, it will feature the same voice cast for both its “on air version” and its explicit “premium version.” The “on air version” of the anime will premiere in Japan on Oct. 1, 2021 on Tokyo MX, and the “premium version” will be exclusively available through AnimeFesta beginning the same day.

Characters

Eve/Evelogia (Voiced by: Shun Horie)
A Demon King by occupation. He is wracked with loneliness and is on the verge of falling into despair. He is small in stature but possesses great magical power, which he has had since he was a child. Due to his powers, he is despised by his parents.

Gozu/Toshiaki Gozu (Voiced by: Takuya Sato)
A modern human reincarnated into a game world as an NPC. He is fascinated by Demon King Eve, the last boss in the game whom he has longed to meet since he was a child, and begins spending time with him.

Tishia (Voiced by: Hitomi Nabatame)
A girl from a village that worships the Demon King who is sent as a sacrifice.

Makidy (Voiced by: Hiroki Yasumoto)
A fighter by trade who can defeat demons with a single punch. He is passionate and loves his hometown and the villagers who live there.
