Synopsis
Lingalind, a land surrounded by a massive wall. The residents of Lingalind revere the wall as a god, believing that it gives life to and protects all of creation. One day, a mysterious boy named Back Arrow lands in a remote village on the outskirts of Lingalind called Edger Village. He has lost his memory but claims to be from outside the wall. In order to regain his memories, he must journey back outside the wall, but along the way he happens upon a Bind Warper that gives him the power to summon and fight using large mechanical armor called Briheights and gets swept up in the fighting going on around him between two warring nations, the Great Rekka Empire and the Lutoh Republic.
Background
Back Arrow is an original TV anime series that was first announced in December 2019. The anime is being produced by Studio VOLN and features Goro Taniguchi as director, Kazuki Nakashima in charge of series composition and scripts, Toshiyuki Kanno handling character designs and also credited as the chief animation director, Hidetaka Tenjin handling Briheight designs, and Kouhei Tanaka composing the music. The opening theme song is “dawn” by LiSA, and the ending theme song is “Sekai no Hate” by Shuka Saito. The anime premiered on Jan. 8, 2021 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other channels. It is available to stream online through Funimation (North America and the British Isles), AnimeLab (Australia and New Zealand) , Wakanim (France, Germany, and Scandinavia). The anime will run for two consecutive cours.

Back Arrow (Voiced by: Yuuki Kaji)
A mysterious boy who claims to be from outside the wall. His Briheight is Muga, a blue and white humanoid capable of absorbing attacks. For some reason, he is able to operate his Briheight for far longer than most others.
Atlee Ariel (Voiced by: Aya Suzaki)
The young female sheriff of Edger Village. Her Briheight is Ryuju, a pink and white humanoid that uses whip-like weapons.
Elisha Lean (Voiced by: Ari Ozawa)
The granddaughter of Edger Village’s chief, Burk. Her Briheight is Shadoh, which allows her to pilot the battleship Granedger.
Bit Namital (Voiced by: Kensho Ono)
Edger Village’s most boisterous resident.
Kai Rhodan (Voiced by: Ryotaro Okiayu)
The invincible general of the Great Rekka Empire. His Briheight is Gigan, an armor-clad humanoid with incredible strength.
Shu Bi (Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita)
The High Diviner of the Great Rekka Empire. He has been friends with Kai since childhood.
Ren Sin (Voiced by: Megumi Han)
A high-ranking soldier of the Great Rekka Empire.
Fine Forté (Voiced by: Ami Koshimizu)
The Princess of Lutoh Republic and one of the Six Great Lords.
Prax Conrad (Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu)
The Armor Lord of Lutoh Republic and one of the Six Great Lords.

The chief of Edger Village and Elisha’s grandfather.
