Synopsis
Yukiya is about 14 years old and spends most of his time DJ’ing on his own. He inherited a love of house music from his dad and has even started uploading videos of himself playing on the internet. He longs to communicate with someone, to be recognized and needed, but he’s afraid of getting hurt. Hoping to increase his views, he did something that can’t be undone and tuned into a broadcast from another world. Yukiya is now a target. Swept up in the thoughts and prayers of others, he feels like he can’t do anything on his own, but if he were with someone else…
Background
W’z is an original anime project produced by Frontier Works and anime studio Go Hands. The series was announced in March 2018 and the 13-episode first season will premiere on Jan. 5, 2019. Ryohei Takenaka will perform the series opening theme, “Reason,” while Fuki will perform the ending theme, "Kamisama wa Kitto.”
