Synopsis
Naral Island is a continent of swords and magic in which humans coexist with monsters. It is the home of the dreaded Demon King. Long ago, the first heroes appeared on Naral Island and defeated the Demon King. But since then, through generation after generation, the Demon King has returned and heroes have once again appeared in order to oppose him. Four girls are attending an adventuring school in order to one day defeat the Demon King.
Though a bit absent minded, Yusha has the constitution of a hero. The holy elf Seyla has unceasing troubles from being all too serious. The cheerful warrior Fai loves to eat. The quiet magician Mei is a huge otaku. Though the four girls aim to become a hero party, they live a laidback fantasy life while showing no signs of defeating the Demon King no matter how much time passes.
Background
Endro~! is an original anime project by Studio Gokumi. The series is being directed by Kaori with Takashi Aoshima in charge of series composition, Haruko Iizuka adapting Namori’s original character designs for animation, and EGG FIRM producing. The opening theme song is "Endoro~ru!" by Yusha Party which consists of cast members Hikaru Akao, Shiina Natsukawa, Ari Ozawa, and Inori Minase performing as their respective characters, and the ending theme song is "Wonder Caravan!" by Inori Minase. The anime will premiere in Japan on Jan. 12, 2019 on Tokyo MX and BS11.
A manga adaptation by Izumi Minami is also began serialization on Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website in August 2018.
Characters
Yusha / Yuria Sharudetto (Voiced by: Hikaru Akao)
Though she is a bit of an airhead, Yusha has a hero’s constitution and is blessed with good intuition and good luck. She doesn’t have much common sense and will barge into other people’s homes in search of items. She is kind-hearted and cares greatly for her friends.
Seyla / Elnowar Seylan (Voiced by: Shiina Natsukawa)
Seyla is very serious and serves as the party’s straight man. She is a holy elf and is good at taking care of others. Despite having the most common sense in the party, she is bad at housework and often loses things. She has bad eyesight and can’t use a bow without wearing glasses.
Fai / Fai Fai (Voiced by: Ari Ozawa)
Fai is a naive and energetic warrior who loves food and her friends. She has a close bond with animals, having been raised in the forest since a young age. She has a habit of changing into a berserker if she gets too hungry and attacking her friends by gnawing on them.
Mei / Meiza Endust (Voiced by: Inori Minase)
A quiet magician, Mei is usually expressionless. She is a huge otaku for Caltard and gets passionate when talking about it.
Mao (Voiced by: Misaki Kuno)
A new teacher who teaches at the adventuring school that Yusha and the others attend. Though the has a mature personality, because of her childish appearance she is treated like the school’s cute mascot by the students.
Princess Rona (Voiced by: Momo Asakura)
Rona is the princess of Rabanesta, the sole kingdom on Naral Island. She loves heroes and her favorite book is “Tales of Heroes.” She generally has a calm disposition but exhibits unusual behavior when it comes to heroes.
