Synopsis
Ekoda-chan lives in an apartment near Ekoda Station. Aside from her part-time jobs at bars and pubs, Ekoda-chan spends her evenings looking for love while battling the evil “mokin” (birds of prey) - pretty women who pretend to be stupid in order to hook good-looking guys!
Background
Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan is adapted from the four-panel comedy manga by Yukari Takinami. The anime adaptation was announced in August 2018 and will begin airing in January 2019. The series will adopt an omnibus format with a different voice cast and creative team for each of the 12 episodes.

Ekoda-chan (Voiced by: Kami Hiraiwa)
Hailing from Hokkaido, Ekoda-chan now lives in an apartment hear Ekoda Station where she insists on a policy of total nudity when at home. During the day she works as a temp at an insurance agency and also as a nude model. She has worked as a hostess but disliked the attitudes of some clients and left her job waitressing at a Chinese restaurant because the menu was too difficult to remember. Ekoda-chan has a positive attitude to romance but always ends up with no good guys and is constantly at war with “mokin” (birds of prey) who use their good looks while feigning stupidity to hook cute guys.
Shinja-kun (Voiced by: Benpineko)
Shinja-kun is a guy who’s interested in Ekoda-chan and is under the impression that if you love someone enough they will eventually love you back.
Onee-chan (Voiced by: Mai Hoshikawa)
Onee-chan is Ekoda-chan’s older sister. A 25-year-old gyaru, Onee-chan is very close with her sister and is always telephoning or staying over at Ekoda-chan’s apartment. A former yankee, she bought a cactus every time she got a new boyfriend in high school but it always died. These days she’s dating a guy who works in a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.
Maa-kun (Voiced by: Nobuhiko Okamoto)
Maa-kun is Ekoda-chan’s number one guy. Although they’ve slept together, Maa-kun is technically in a long distance relationship and often plays around with other women. He has no intention of making things official with Ekoda-chan but doesn’t plan on breaking up with her either.
Mokin (Voiced by: Nozomi Sasaki)
“Mokin” (bird of prey) is Ekoda-chan’s nickname for pretty women who pretend to be stupid to hook cute guys.
Friend M (Voiced by: Rikako Aikawa)
Friend M is Ekoda-chan’s friend. Unlike Ekoda-chan she’s a little awkward and doesn’t seem to have much romantic experience. In fact, most of her loves are unrequited. While they sometimes fight, Friend M really understands Ekoda-chan and worries about her freewheeling lifestyle. She might be a little old fashioned, but she’s one of the good ones.
