Synopsis
The goddess Athena is protected by an army of warriors knowns as Saints who are protected by battle armor known as Cloths which represent their Guardian Constellations. Sho is a Santia - one of Athena’s personal handmaidens, and finds herself defending the goddess and her Sanctuary from the incursion by Eris - the Goddess of Discord.
Background
Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho is adapted from the manga by Chimaki Kuori and is a direct sequel to the original Saint Seiya series created by Masami Kurumada. The anime adaptation was announced in December 2016 and the first season premiered on Amazon Prime Video in Japan on Dec.10, 2018. The anime will be streamed internationally through Crunchyroll. Voice actresses Aina Suzuki, M.A.O, Inori Minase, and Megumi Nakajima perform the series’ opening theme "The Beautiful Brave,” while Aina Suzuki and M.A.O perform the ending, "Hohoemi no Resonance.”

Equuleus Sho (Voiced by: Aina Suzuki)
Equuleus Sho is a member of Athena’s personal bodyguard. She is good at sports and hates to lose. Sho is also training hard at her father’s karate dojo.
Equuleus Kyoko (Voiced by: M.A.O)
Kyoko Equuleus is Sho’s kindly older sister. She became a Saintia in order to rebel against her own fate.
Saori Kido (Voiced by: Inori Minase)
Saori Kido inherited the leadership of the Graude Foundation from her grandfather and is also the current embodiment of the goddess Athena. While battling an internal conflict between her two identities, Saori presides over the galactic war.
Dolphin Mii (Voiced by: Megumi Nakajima)
Dolphin Mii is a childhood friend of Saori’s and is now her personal secretary.
Scorpio Milo (Voiced by: Toshihiko Seki)
Scorpio Milo is one of the 12 Gold Saints. He met the young Sho and Kyoko five years ago.
Leo Aiolia (Voiced by: Hideyuki Tanaka)
One of the 12 Gold Saints, Leo Aiolia is always quick to sense the movements of Eris.
Pavo Mayura (Voiced by: Rina Sato)
Entirely covered in bandages, Silver Saint Pavo Mayura is one of the strongest in the Sanctuary and Sho’s mentor. She has used a wheelchair for the past 13 years after sustaining an injury during the revolt in Athena’s Sanctuary.
Unicorn Yato (Voiced by: Hideo Ishikawa)
Bronze Saint Unicorn Yato is fiercely loyal to Saori.
Ruin Atë (Voiced by: Rika Tachibana)
Ruin Atë is the leader of the Dryads and a supporter of Eris.
Malice Emoni (Voiced by: Marika Kouno)
Malice Emoni is a Dryad who has taken the form of a cherubic young girl but has a wicked tongue. She always carries a teddy bear around with her named Mick.
Toki (Voiced by: Shunsuke Takeuchi)
Toki is one of the orphans sent out by the Graude Foundation as a candidate to become a Saint.
Lumi (Voiced by: Ayaka Ohashi)
Lumi is Sho’s best friend from school.
Sho’s Father (Voiced by: Yasuhiro Mamiya)
The father of Sho and Kyoko. He may seem severe but is a kind father and loves his daughters very much.
Mirai (Voiced by: Aki Kanada)
Mirai is a disciple of Mayura. He is straightforward and energetic and looks after Sho during her training.
Cinato (Voiced by: Akeno Watanabe)
One of Mayura’s disciples, Cinato is calm and level headed. She also takes care of Sho while she is in training.
Tatsumi (Voiced by: Hisao Egawa)
Tatsumi is Saori’s butler and has been with the family since the time of her grandfather, Mitsumasa Kido.
