Synopsis
A lover of reading, high school girl Kazusa Onodera decides to join her school’s literature club. There, she finds herself surrounded by a quirky and eccentric group that includes a straight laced and stubborn club president, a mysterious novelist, and a former child stage actress. One day, the girls get onto the topic of sex, but little did they know how much it would begin to awaken in each one of them.
Background
O Maidens in Your Savage Season began as a manga written by Mari Okada and illustrated by Nao Ehon that began serialization in the January 2017 issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. As of December 2018, six tankobon volumes have been published. The manga is licensed in English by Kodansha USA and began being published digitally under the Kodansha Comics imprint in April 2019.
An anime adaptation was announced in November 2018. The anime is being directed by Masahiro Ando and Takuro Tukada at Lay-duce with scripts by Mari Okada, character designs by Kaori Ishii who is also credited as chief animation direction, and music by Moe Hinata. CHiCO with HoneyWorks will perform the opening theme and Momo Asakura will perform the ending theme. The anime will premiere in July 2019 during the Animeism programming block on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS in Japan.

Kazusa Onodera (Voiced by: Hiyori Kono)

The heroine of the story, Kazusa is an ordinary girl who blends into the crowd. She was disliked by other girls due to her being close to Izumi in middle school, and as such has a depressing school life. Because of that, she has put as much distance between herself and Izumi as she can. After entering high school, she catches Izumi masturbating and, knowing that someone else is also vying for his affections, comes to the realization that she loves him.
Niina Sugawara (Voiced by: Chika Anzai)
Height: 160 cm

Niina is the beauty of the literature club. When she was younger she was a part of the children’s performance troupe Soyokaze. She knows well the mentality of men and how to treat them due to experience of fighting off suspicious men who would follow her.
Momoko Sudo (Voiced by: Momo Asakura)
Height: 156 cm
Blood Type: AB
Momoko wears her hair in braided twintails and is close friends with Kazusa, who calls her Moochin. While in prep school she reunites with a male classmate from elementary school who asks her out on a date, which she swiftly refused.
Izumi Norimoto (Voiced by: Shimba Tsuchiya)
A childhood friend of Kazusa’s, Izumi has been a fan of trains since he was a young boy. As a child he was even shorter than Kazusa, and he looked after Kazusa due to her naive personality. However, the two grew apart after entering middle school and he became popular with girls due to his good looks. He is troubled by the thought that he was the cause of Kazusa’s difficult middle school life.
Rika Sonezaki (Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka)
Height: 170 cm
Blood Type: O
The president of the literature club, Rika is straight laced and stubborn. She usually wears glasses with her long hair tied up behind her. However, sometimes she instead wears contacts and lets her hair down, transforming into a beauty who resembles a certain famous model. Cleanly and prudish, she scolds the girls if she hears them talking lewdly. However, once she begins having feelings for Amagi she begins to change.
Hitoha Hongo (Voiced by: Tomoyo Kurosawa)
Height: 141 cm
Blood Type: B
Though a high school girl, HItoha is an author who exudes a mysterious aura. She has sent her novel manuscripts to publishers, but editors have told her that her writing isn’t realistic enough. Because of that, she starts using 2ShotChat in order to learn about sex to better her writing.
