Synopsis

A wasteful adolescence
Nozomu is a first-year student at Sainotama Girls’ High School and a hopeless airhead. Together with a colorful cast of other hopeless girls including an otaku girl who loves anime and manga and a robotic girl who is always expressionless, Nozomu wastes away her youthful days as a high school student in this side-splittingly funny school girl comedy.

Background

Wasteful Days of High School Girl began as a school girl comedy manga by Bino originally uploaded to Niconico Seiga before being serialized by Kadokawa on their webcomic site ComicWalker beginning in December 2015. The manga is currently running in Comic NewType, and as of April 2019 four tankobon volumes have been published.

An anime adaptation being produced by Passione will premiere in Japan in July 2019. The anime is being directed by Sei Sanpei with Masahiro Yokotani writing the script, Sachiko Yasuda creating the character designs, Tomoki Kikuya composing the music, and Takeo Takahashi overseeing the project as chief director. Chinatsu Akasaki, Haruka Tomatsu and Aki Toyosaki will perform both the anime’s opening theme song, “Wa! Moon! Dass! Cry!,” and ending theme song, “Seishun no Reverb.”
