History

The Rise of the Axiom Church (Continued)

Reign of Integrity Knights

Quinella started brainwashing the best fighters and fugitives with the Synthesis Ritual, turning them into the obedient and mighty Integrity Knights. The Knights's tasks were to fight the monsters, uphold order, and guard Quinella from Cardinal. In the meantime, Cardinal actually has been trying to gather forces to overthrow Quinella, but Quinella managed to remain one step ahead of her.

Two centuries later, the Load Test Stage was about to become the real threat to the Axiom Church. Quinella knew about the doomsday counter, and so she needed the world to be ready to fight, since her and the Knights' powers alone would not be enough. She made up a legend about the Solus fading and the Darkness invading every thousand years and founded the Sword Mastery Academy to increase the chances.

Dark Territory

Not much is known about the developments in the Dark Territory. Its various races once waged wars for supremacy in the Age of Blood and Iron until the battle that eradicated everything by a single black lily. After that, peace was declared and the land split agreed upon. Not everyone was content, however; the Goblins had received a wasteland, and others were getting ready for another war, believing the peace would only last until the Human Empire is defeated.

Geography

Human Empire

The Human Empire is a perfect circle about 1500km (932mi) across to the northwest of Underworld described by the Mountain Range at the Edge, or End Mountains (果ての山脈 hate no sanmyaku) with four narrow connections to the world beyond: the North Cave, East Gate, South Corridor, and West Gorge.

Quinella's Everlasting Walls (不朽の壁 fukyū no kabe or 不屈の壁 fukutsu no kabe) divide the land into four equal sectors and consist of four enormous marble walls each 750 km long, stretching from Centoria's walls all the way to NW, NE, SE, SW. Crossing the Wall is authorized by a handprint.

Around 80 thousand humans live in the Human Empire, 20 thousand out of those in Centoria. The Human Guardian Army accounts 5 thousand.

Around 50 thousand creatures live in the Dark Territory.

Norlangarth North Empire

Norlangarth North Empire (ノーランガルス北帝国 nōrangarusu kita teikoku) is the northern empire of forests, grasslands, and lakes. Rulid Village is located to the north of it, and the town of Zakkaria to the south.

Eastabarieth Empire

Eastabarieth Empire (イスタバリエス帝国 isutabariesu teikoku) is the eastern empire of black-haired people.

Wesdarath Empire

Wesdarath Empire (ウェスダラス帝国 uesudarasu teikoku) is the western empire.

Southacroith Empire

Southacroith Empire (サザークロイス帝国 sazākuroisu teikoku) is the southern empire of hot deserts.

Law System

Everyone in Human Empire follows all laws and rules they regard as having authority, except certain people capable of circumventing the limitation — the Seal of the Right Eye, which is surmised to be the result of a competing company's sabotage at Rath.

Human Empire

During the first century, the law was oral traditions passed down from parents to children. Then the Taboo Index (禁忌目録 kinki mokuroku) was created to become the first written law in the world.

The Taboo Index was written by the Axiom Church and enforces the laws that serve its authority and convenience. It mentions all crimes and punishments for them, as well as prohibits actions that harm other humans and limits hunting and storing food because of the world's limited resources. When the first edition was created Quinella had it printed and ordered every family to read it to their children.
