Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4D - Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4D is an amusement park 4-D cinematic attraction that debuted on July 1st, 2016. Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D animation was designed using 4-D computer-generated imagery, and featured a battle between Goku and Frieza. The second attraction, also designed in 4-D animated CG (computer graphics), Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai, debuted on June 30th, 2017. Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D was only available at Universal Studios Japan and as a part of the "Universal Jump Summer". The 4-D showing included special effects and features such as fog, smells, and moving theater seats. The attractions portrayed new chapters in the Dragon Ball series and depicted Goku battling his nemesis Frieza in Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D, and his nemesis Broly God in Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai.
Universal Studios Japan’s "Universal Jump Summer"
As part of Universal Studios Japan's reborn initiative, which included a collaboration with Universal Studios theme park and Shueisha, Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D animated computer graphics was part of a string of attractions which also featured other popular animated series. The “Universal Jump Summer” was a limited-time event, and also included exhibitions from some of the most popular anime from Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. The summer event at the theme park was held to celebrate Universal Studios Japan's 15th anniversary.
Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4D
The first Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4D animation event debuted on July 1st, 2016, and ran until September 4th, 2016, and featured an intense battle between Super Saiyan Goku and Frieza.
At the beginning of the cinematic attraction, a hooded figure is seen with all seven Dragon Balls, before Shenron appears. Goku's nemesis Frieza then appears with an increased power level of 5.3 billion.
Bulma calls Goku from Capsule Corp meanwhile West city is in flames. Super Saiyan Goku faces off against Frieza but is initially overwhelmed. After intense combat, Goku eventually attacks with a Kamehameha, to which Frieza responds with a Death Ball. After the clash, Goku appears defeated and injured. Just as Frieza attempts to defeat Goku, members of the Z Warriors which include Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo and Krillin arrive to help their weakened teammate. Krillin and Piccolo attempt to attack Frieza, but Frieza easily deflects their attacks, meanwhile Goku recovers. Vegeta finally attacks Frieza meanwhile Goku creates a massive Spirit Bomb, which ultimately strikes and defeats Frieza. Finally, towards the end of the attraction, Goku and the Z Warriors are shown helping to repair the mutilated city.

Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai
Universal Studios Japan’s second Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4D animation event, Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokai debuted on June 30th, 2017, and ran until October 1st, 2017, and featured a 4-D CG animated battle between Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Broly God. The setting of the world tournament (Tenkaichi Budokai) is also featured in the Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi game.
The attraction takes place during the finale of a battle tournament, the Super Tenkaichi Budokai. Vegeta, Krillin, Goku, Piccolo, and the Great Saiyaman are the only competitors left in the tournament. As the finale of the battle begins, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, and Vegeta face off in a highly contested and heated match. Android 18 appears and attacks Piccolo, just after Gohan is eliminated. Broly then interrupts the tournament in his God form and attacks Super Saiyan Blue Goku along with the remaining tournament competitors. Vegeta, in Super Saiyan Blue form protects Bulma as Broly attempts to hit the Capsule Corp ship. Broly then strikes Goku, and throws him into the Capsule Corp ship, before Shenron appears and fulfills a wish that grants Goku the ability to do God Fusion. From there, the audience is fused with Goku inside the ship while Broly attacks Goku. Goku's God Fusion performance weakens Broly. Finally, amidst Broly's last attempt to defeat Goku, Goku returns with a Kamehameha, defeating his nemesis. The audience is then unfused.
