Alternate Title

BLUE REFLECTION RAY/澪

Synopsis

Joy, sadness, anger. Human feelings are a power that everyone has but that no one cannot see. At times, that power may even seem to change the world. Hiori Hirahara is a girl who is always positive and can’t help but lend a hand to those in need, and Ruka Hanari is a clumsy girl who doesn’t know how to get along with others. How will an encounter between these two different girls change them and the world around them?

Characters

Hiori Hirahara (Voiced by: Manaka Iwami)
Hiori is always cheerful and straightforward, and can easily make friends with anyone. She is the type who can’t leave someone alone if they are in trouble and she reacts before she thinks. She loves her older sister, with whom she has spent her entire childhood.

Ruka Hanari (Voiced by: Haruka Chisuga)
A new transfer student who joined Hiori’s class. Because she is quiet and clumsy in dealing with people, she is sometimes seen as a cool loner by those around her. However, deep down she has an inner desire to change herself.

Momo Tanabe (Voiced by: Yuka Takakura)
Momo is 18 years old, making her older than Hiori and the others. She dropped out of high school after failing two years and has been living as a freelancer. Although things have calmed down now, it seems that she went through a rough time in the past, and remnants of that time can be seen in her behavior and attitude from time to time. She takes good care of everyone and is well-liked by others.

Miyako Shirakaba (Voiced by: Hitomi Ohwada)
Hiori and Ruka’s classmate. She comes from a wealthy family and is often envied by those around her. However, she has a burden that she can’t tell anyone else about. Her strong way of speaking often gives her a harsh air.

Nina Yamada (Voiced by: Nina Tamaki)
A second-year student at St. Ines High School and a runaway who is fascinated by Mio. She used to be a runaway living on the streets until she met Mio. Since then she has developed a sisterly relationship with her and wants to live with her. She is very direct and is rough with everyone but Mio.

Mio Hirahara (Voiced by: Reina Ueda)
A third-year student at St. Ines High School. She is a strong and dependable older sister who takes care of her younger sister, Hiori. Her father died when she was young, and her mother went missing five years ago, so since then she and her sister have been living together on their own. Because of this, she cares for Hiori more than anything else and gently supports her.

Uta Komagawa (Voiced by: Rui Tanabe)
A first-year student at St. Ines High School. She has an aloof personality and takes life at her own pace. She believes that pain is what gives people the feeling of being alive, so she is always looking for physical and mental pain. Due to this, she often tries to provoke others in order to get them to be violent or abusive toward her.

Shino Mizusaki (Voiced by: Shiori Izawa)
A third-year student at St. Ines High School. She is a mysterious girl who rarely goes out due to an illness and is taken care of by Mio, whom she adores and calls “big sis.” She looks much younger than the other girls her age.
