Synopsis

Peter Grill wins the Grand Fighting Tournament and is bestowed with the title of World’s Strongest. With that, he can finally marry his fiancée Luvelia…or so he thought. The only problem is that he’s constantly being seduced by women of other races who are after his strongest seed! Though the World’s Strongest, Peter also has the world’s weakest willpower, and he succumbs to temptation time and time again. Then, he hears word of a goblin outbreak and rushes to help, but an unexpected encounter awaits him on the battlefield…

Background

Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time started as a fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Hiyama that began serialization in Futabasha's Monthly Action seinen manga magazine in August 2017. As of September 2022, 11 collected tankobon volumes have been published. The series has also been licensed for English release in North America through Seven Seas Entertainment, who will publish the ninth volume in November 2022.

Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time: Super Extra is the title of the second season of the TV anime adaptation, which was announced in November 2021. The anime is being jointly produced by Seven and Wolfsbane and sees returning staff and cast including Tatsumi as director, Nora Mori as series composer, Koh Kawarajima as character designer, and Phoenix Q-Taro as sub-character designer. The anime’s opening theme song is "Kurenazumu Yakusoku" by isekaijoucho, and the ending theme song is “Koigokoro” by Hilcrhyme. The anime will premiere in Japan on Oct. 9, 2022 on Tokyo MX and will also broadcast on BS Fuji. The anime has been licensed by Sentai Filmworks, who will stream it overseas through their HIDIVE service.

Peter Grill (Voiced by: Hiro Shimono)
Peter is a human man with the title of World’s Strongest. He also has the world’s weakest willpower. Although he has a fiancée named Luvelia, he is tempted by women of different races who all want to birth an heir with his strongest genes. After receiving word of an outbreak of female goblins, he sets out to fight back.

Luvelia Sanctos (Voiced by: Yui Ninomiya)
Luvelia is a human woman and Peter’s fiancée. Perhaps due to being raised by an overly strict father who loved his daughter too much, she has no knowledge of adult life and truly believes that if she prays in the cabbage patch, a stork will bring her a child.

Lisa Alpacas (Voiced by: Hibiku Yamamura)
Lisa is an ogre woman and the princess of the proud ogre tribe. She is a highly skilled fighter, is cunning, and uses various means to trick Peter in order to birth a strong child for the sake of her people.

Mimi Alpacas (Voiced by: Ayana Taketatsu)
Mimi is an ogre woman and is Lisa’s younger sister. She is a skilled fighter with an ample chest and an intellect recognized by everyone. She doesn’t give thought to difficult things and seeks to have Peter’s child.

Vegan Eldriel (Voiced by: Akari Uehara)
Vegan is a half-elf woman and is the self-appointed special goodwill ambassador of the elf village. Her pride is taller than mountains, but her chest is as flat as a field. She has a lax personality and often smooth-talks Peter.

Piglette Pancetta (Voiced by: Sayaka Senbongi)
Piglette is an orc woman and Peter’s personal attendant. Though uglier than anyone by orc standards, by human standards she is a knockout. A dreadful darkness swirls deep in her kind and devoted heart.

Gobco Ngière (Voiced by: Mikoi Sasaki)
Gobco is the leader of a hobgoblin trio. In the midst of the goblin calamity, she appears before Peter in an attempt to sexually devour a human male.

Lucy Grill (Voiced by: Suzuna Kinoshita)
Lucy is Peter’s younger sister. She is a crazy fighter who can’t be managed even by Peter once she loses her cool. She hates cheating so much that it instantly fills her with a murderous rage.

Fruitalia Eldriel (Voiced by: Kana Yuki)
Fruitalia is Vegan’s younger sister. She invites Peter to the elf village in an attempt to obtain his strongest seed. She has a determination that rivals even that of Vegan and has a crooked personality just like her sister. She and Vegan don’t get along so much that they talk using their fists whenever they see each other.

Mithlim Nezarant (Voiced by: Shiori Izawa)
Mithlim is a 32-year-old dwarven inventor who is basically a NEET. She creates extraordinary inventions in order to shut up the crotchety old geezers so she can enjoy living her life.
