Synopsis

Al Wayne is a young man who has been polishing his farming-related skills in order to become a top-notch farmer and has finally maxed out his last farming skill. However, since at that moment, his life takes a dramatic turn away from farming, sending him in a different direction he couldn’t have imagined…

Background

I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills started as a light novel series written by Shobonnu and illustrated by Sogawa that was initially serialized on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro from August 2016 to May 2018. The series was later picked up by Futabasha, who published it under their Monster Bunko imprint from March 2017 to November 2018 and released it in five volumes.

A manga adaptation illustrated by Aki Taruto has been serialized on Futabasha's Web Comic Action digital magazine since April 2018. As of February 2022, it has been published in eight collected tankobon volumes under their Monster Comics imprint.

A TV anime adaptation was announced in February 2022. It is being produced by Studio A-Cat (Frame Arms Girl, She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, Tamayomi: The Baseball Girls) and directed by Norihiko Nagahama (Dark, Milk Money, Rxxx), with Touko Machida (Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor, Iwa-Kakeru! -Sport Climbing Girls-, The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist In Another World) handling series composition, Masami Sueoka (Chojiku Robo Meguru, Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence) handling character designs, and Takuro Iga (Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA, Magical Girl Raising Project, Wataten!: an Angel Flew Down to Me) composing the music. The anime’s opening theme song is "Growing up" by 7ORDER, and the ending theme song is "Rolling Soul Happy Days" by Pop Shinanaide. The anime will premiere in Japan on Oct. 1, 2022 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV.

Al is a young man who aims to become a top-notch farmer. After maxing out his farming-related skills, his everyday life suddenly changes course dramatically…

Fal-Ys Meigis (Voiced by: Minami Tanaka)
Fal-Ys is the first princess of the imperial capital of Meigis. After witnessing Al’s skills, she proposes that he serve the royal court and be given a large field.

Helen Rean (Voiced by: Rumi Okubo)
Helen is the receptionist at the adventurers guild. She lost her memories of childhood and is unable to remember her past.

Ruri (Voiced by: Ayaka Suwa)
Ruri is the descendant of a hero. She meets Al in the Grim Forest while on a journey to train and become a great hero herself.

Ilvia (Voiced by: Yukari Tamura)
Ilvia is a girl who had been living alone, but when she meets a young Al, she is welcomed into his family and begins living with them.

Reaks (Voiced by: Masahiro Ito)
Reeks is a spritely and energetic mailman who rushes all over to deliver packages.

Luccia Wayne (Voiced by: Mai Nakahara)
Luccia is Al’s mother. She is a kind and caring person who loves Al more than anything.

Gilles Wayne (Voiced by: Kenji Hamada)
Gilles is Al’s father. He is very protective of Al and his wife Luccia, even though she’s the one who wears the pants in the relationship.
