Synopsis

The happy-go-lucky lives of high school students Usagi, Minami, Midori, Kojika, Saiko, and Misono continue in this sequel to the anime Urawa no Usagi-chan set in Urawa, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture!

Background

Musasino! is the second season of the original TV anime Urawa no Usagi-chan, which was created to promote Urawa in Saitama Prefecture. The anime was originally scheduled to air beginning in July 2017 but was suspended indefinitely. In April 2022, work on the anime resumed and it was announced that it would premiere in Japan in July. The anime is being animated by A-Real (Kenka Bancho Otome: Girl Beats Boys, Those Snow White Notes, Urawa no Usagi-chan) and produced by harappa with assistance from HANGAR-18 . It features Mitsuyuki Ishibashi (Naniiro no Nani, Urawa no Usagi-chan) as director, with Hiroyasu Kubota handling series composition and screenplay, Akihiko Oka (Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, Teasing Master Takagi-san) who is credited as both character designer and chief animation director, and Kuniyuki Morohashi (Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher, Harlock: Space Pirate, Midnight Crazy Trail) composing the music. The anime will premiere in Japan on July 2, 2022 and will be streamed overseas through Crunchyroll as part of their summer 2022 lineup.

Characters

Usagi Takasago (Voiced by: Asami Seto)
“I hope today’s another good day!”
Usagi is an energetic girl who is always cheerful and smiling. Every morning, her routine is to go to the shrine close to her house before she goes to school. She is a member of the railroad club.

Minami Oyaba (Voiced by: Keiko Watanabe)
“It’s an oni, an oni!”
Minami is a member of both the railroad club and the light music club. She is a tomboyish girl whose family runs a live music club, and she takes things at her own pace. She always has a lot to say, and Tokiwa makes fun of her. She is Usagi’s childhood friend.

Midori Saido (Voiced by: Hisako Tojo)
“It’s fully spring…isn’t it?”
Midori has a calm personality and is a comforting person who makes others feel at ease. She loves sweets and brings a variety of candy into the clubroom.

Kojika Bessho (Voiced by: Miyu Kubota)
“Unlike the president, I’m an adult.”
Kojika is the student council vice-president. She always has the attitude of an honor student, but in truth she is a hard worker who stretches herself to be the best. She is childhood friends with Saiko. She loves ninjas.

Misono Mimuro (Voiced by: Nao Tamura)
“Where was I trying to go?...”
Misono is the head of the public morals committee. She is mysterious and often pops up suddenly in various places. She has a talent for always getting lost.

Saiko Numakage (Voiced by: Rumi Okubo)
“Punishing evildoers is the role of justice!!!”
Saiko is the charismatic student council president. She is a talented and confident girl with an overflowing sense of justice and a devilishly mischievous heart. She is rivals with Tokiwa and the two often battle during student council meetings.

Sakura Tajima (Voiced by: Yo Taichi)
“Huh? Where is everyone…?”
Sakura is a member of the railroad club. She is a conscientious member who is courteous and speaks in a polite manner. She worries about not standing out.

Tokiwa Kamikizaki (Voiced by: Satomi Akesaka)
Tokiwa is a tall, intelligent and graceful girl who acts like a refined rich girl though she isn’t. Gifted with both brains and beauty, she is also the vice-president of the railroad club and is close friends with Usagi.
