Characters

Shinjiro Hayata / Ultraman (Voiced by: Ryohei Kimura)

He dons the Ultraman Suit in order to fight enemies and save his father, and afterward he enlists in the SSSP. He has feelings for idol Rena Sayama. Outwardly, he seems like an average, ordinary high school boy, but through fighting against aliens, he is beginning to realize his role as Ultraman.

Dan Moroboshi / Seven (Voiced by: Takuya Eguchi)
A young man who is a member of SSSP and is actually an alien even though he looks remarkably human. Like Shinjiro, he fights while wearing the Ultraman Suit Ver. 7 (Seven Suit). Unlike Shinjiro, he specializes in a merciless fighting style. He is irritated by Shinjiro’s lack of self-awareness of his innate abilities.

Seiji Hokuto / Ace (Voiced by: Megumi Han)
A first-year high school student who goes to the same school as Shinjiro. He is a cyborg who was operated on by an alien after a serious accident that left most of his body badly injured. He fights while wearing the enhanced suit Ace Suit that was also developed by aliens. He knows that Shinjiro is actually Ultraman and hopes to become a member of the SSSP. His main reason for fighting is to kill Ace Killer and avenge his parents and Yuko Minami.

Shin Hayata / Zoffy (Voiced by: Hideyuki Tanaka)
Shinjiro’s father and the Minister of Defense. He is a former member of the SSSP who assimilated with Ultraman to protect the earth, but during assimilation he lost his memory. A remnant of his assimilation remains in that he has superhuman abilities. He is cornered during his fight with Bemular and saved by Shinjiro. He sometimes fights while wearing his own Ultraman suit, the Proto Suit.

Jack (Voiced by: Ryota Takeuchi)
Dan’s favorite informant. He is the bare knuckle champion of Alien City and has the power to fight against aliens even without a suit. After the fight with Ace Killer, he takes the alien scientist Yapool captive. He belongs to an organization in a certain country and seems to be planning something.

Kotaro Higashi / Taro (Voiced by: Tomoaki Maeno)
A young man who works as a journalist in America. He is good-natured and has a burning sense of justice. A new story begins for him when he returns to Japan, where his girlfriend Izumi is waiting for him.

Rena Sayama (Voiced by: Sumire Morohoshi)
A popular idol whose real name is Rena Endo. Although she professes her love for Ultraman, inwardly she harbors hatred for him ever since her mother got caught in a battle between Ultraman and an alien and died shortly after her birth. However, her feelings slowly begin to change after she is caught up in an incident caused by aliens and saved by Shinjiro as Ultraman. Due to one of her performances being attacked by aliens, she is currently taking a break from performing. She studied abroad in America.

Mitsuhiro Ide (Voiced by: Ken Uo)
Outwardly, he is the director of the Giant of Light Memorial, but he was previously a member of the Japan branch of the SSSP together with Shin. He rescues Shinjiro together with Shin when he is attacked by a mysterious enemy and entrusts him with the Ultraman Suit he developed after learning of the secrets and past hidden in Shinjiro’s body. He is currently the commander of the SSSP.

Edo (Voiced by: Shigeru Ushiyama)
A descendant of the Zetton alien race that plotted the invasion of Earth and killed Ultraman. He holds the position of representative of the aliens, and as a liaison to the Star Cluster Council, he works with Mitsuhiro to oppose the crisis approaching Earth once again. He appears to be watching over Shinjiro as he develops into being Ultraman, but his true intentions are unknown.

Adad (Voiced by: Kenjiro Tsuda)
An agent of the immigration bureau under the Star Cluster Council’s command and a Sukuruda Alien who has a distinctive black and white striped pattern. He is an elusive character who has an eccentric attitude and speaks with a polite tone. He invades one of Rena’s performances to root out a serial killer. He is a highly mysterious character who works in secret as the Council’s “dog,” sometimes cooperating with them and sometimes opposing them.

Shiraishi (Voiced by: Minoru Shiraishi)
Rena’s manager. He is always worried about how to reign in her free-spiritedness.

Bemular (Voiced by: Kaiji Soze)
