Synopsis

Eve is a skilled golfer who makes a living betting on golf. Her life changes when one day she has a fateful encounter with Aoi Amawashi, an elite golfer whose family runs the global conglomerate Amawashi Group. Though these two genius golfers come from completely different worlds, they both share a diehard passion for the sport. The “Rainbow Bullet” Eve and the “Innocent Tyrant” Aoi. Soon, the two are drawn to each other and begin to be influenced by one another. The curtain rises on the world’s first original anime series themed after women’s golf!

Background

Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story is an original TV anime series created by Bandai Namco Pictures that was first announced in October 2021. It is being produced by Bandai Namco Pictures and features Takayuki Inagaki as director, with Yousuke Kuroda handling series composition, Kei Ajiki handling character designs, Shin Misawa credited as golf course designer and concept artist, and Hironori Anazawa and Kotaro Nakagawa composing the music. The anime’s opening theme song is "Venus Line" by Kohmi Hirose, and the ending theme song is "Yodaka" by Tsukuyomi. The anime will premiere in Japan on April 5, 2022 on TV Tokyo and other networks.

Characters

Eve (Voiced by: Akari Kito)
Eve is a girl who makes a living betting on golf. She is an aggressive golfer with a creative playstyle. She is a straight-shooter through and through, both in terms of golf and her personality. She is called “Rainbow Bullet Eve” for her ability to defeat her opponents with her rainbow-colored drives.

Aoi Amawashi (Voiced by: Asami Seto)
Aoi is a thoroughbred in the golf world whose mother runs the worldwide conglomerate Amawashi Group. She is the ace of the prestigious Raio Girls Academy Golf Team. She has a pure love of the sport and is known as the “Innocent Tyrant” for defeating her opponents with an innocent smile.

Amane Shinjоo (Voiced by: Ami Koshimizu)
Amane is Aoi’s close friend and works as her exclusive caddy. In addition to being knowledgeable on meteorology, information statistics, and psychology, she gathers detailed data on the course and Aoi’s rivals in preparation for tournaments. She is a reliable and cool beauty.

Lily Lipman (Voiced by: Akira Sekine)
Lily lives in the slums of the city together with her fellow immigrants, including Eve. Though poor, she has a cheerful personality and is a mood maker with a caring side. She works as Eve’s caddy.

Reiya Amuro (Voiced by: Toru Furuya)
Reiya is the advisor of the prestigious Raio Girls Academy Golf Team. He seems to have a certain agenda, though what it is is unknown.

Leo Millafoden (Voiced by: Shuichi Ikeda)
Leo is Eve’s golf instructor. He taught Eve to play golf when she was young but disappeared shortly after.

Rose Aleon (Voiced by: Toa Yukinari)
Rose makes an illegal living in the underworld of the city. She has her eyes on Eve, who is obsessed with Aoi.

Ichina Saotome (Voiced by: Saki Fujita)
Ichina is a first-year high school student and a caddy for the Raio Girls Academy Golf Team. She aims to become a professional caddy and excels at being able to read the wind and course. She also has a strong memory and has memorized the names of players who have competed in past championships.

Kinue Jinguji (Voiced by: Mai Nakahara)
Kinue is a third-year high school student and the captain of the Raio Girls Academy Golf Team. Due to an arm injury, she is currently taking a break from practice and supports the team instead. She is a hard worker and can be a bit sadistic toward opponents who are her juniors.

Mizuho Himekawa (Voiced by: Yukari Tamura)
Mizuho is a second-year high school student and the ace member of the Kochi Nadaminami Girls Academy Golf Team. She previously won the amatuer championship at the Japan female nationals and is among the strongest high school golfers in the country.

Kaede Oikawa (Voiced by: Yu Kobayashi)
Kaede is a second-year high school student and member of the Kochi Nadaminami Girls Academy Golf Team. She teams up with Mizuho for doubles. She is determined and confident.

Kaoruko Iijima (Voiced by: M.A.O)
Kaoruko is a third-year high school student and the captain of the Shizuoka Koran Girls High School Golf Team. She teams up with Kuyo for doubles. She excels at approach shots and her phenomenal “in the zone” concentration allows her to hit perfect shots. She was ranked sixth the previous year in the Japan national female championship.

Kuyo Iseshiba (Voiced by: Satomi Arai)
Kuyo is a second-year high school student and member of the Shizuoka Koran Girls High School Golf Team. She is a duo with Kaoruko and a regular at the national female championship. She is a sure-fire putter with her “search the line” ability that allows her to accurately trace the perfect line.

Vipère (Voiced by: Kaori Nazuka)
Vipère is a famous underground golfer who is known as the “Grim Reaper.” She drives a classic car.

Haruka Misono (Voiced by: Rina Sato)
Haruka is a first-year student and member of the Raio Girls Academy Golf Team. During junior high, she won third place in the nationals and is upset that she isn’t allowed to swing a club as a first-year member of the team. She respects Ichina for her abilities as a caddy.

Seira Amawashi (Voiced by: Yuko Kaida)
Seira is Aoi’s mom. She took over the Amawashi Group from Aoi’s father and is a sharp CEO who grew the company into a worldwide conglomerate. She is a former professional golfer and was the prize money queen. She works hard to make sure Aoi becomes a success in the world of golf.

Klein Clara (Voiced by: Sayaka Kinoshita)
Klein is the owner of a bar in the slums of the city. She lives together with Eve and Lily. She has a caring, older sister vibe and acts as a mother to the immigrant orphans Emily, Charlotte, and Jessica.
