Synopsis

Magical Girl Ore follows the story of 15-year-old newbie idol Saki Uno who has a crush on her best friend’s older brother, Mohiro Mikage. When he is kidnapped by demons, who oddly have cute squirrel heads, she makes a contract to become a magical girl to save him, but when she transforms, it is into a handsome man in a magical girl outfit! Her crush shows interest in her magical man form, and her manager decides to create an idol unit of her and her best friend, who also can transform into a cross-dressing magical man.

Background

Written by Icchokusen Mokon, Magical Girl Ore began in 2012 as a Japanese manga series serialized in Fusion Product’s Comic B magazine and collected into two tankobon volumes. An anime adaptation directed by Itsuro Kawasaki will air in April 2018. The anime will be available for international streaming (expect in Japan and Greater China) via Crunchyroll.

Saki Uno is a newbie idol in the Magical Twin unit. She works hard day and night to become a top idol. She becomes a magical girl to protect Mohiro Mikage.

Sakuyo Mikage (Female CV: Sachika Misawa; Male CV: Wataru Hatano)
She is a member of the idol unit Magical Twin with Saki Uno and the little sister of Mohiro Mikage who is Saki’s unrequited love.

Mohiro Mikage (CV: Toshiyuki Toyonaga)
Sakuyo Mikage’s older brother and childhood friend of Saki Uno who adores him. He is a member of the top idol unit STAR☆PRINCE and has a singing voice that charms both people and animals. For some reason he is often the target of demons.

Hyoue is the other member of the top idol unit STAR☆PRINCE.

Saki Uno and Sakuyo Mikage’s manager.
