Azone International

Azone International is one of Japan’s most popular doll companies and offers several different doll collections varying in sizes but each equipped with a set of real cloth clothes and cute accessories.

Their most well-known collection is the EX Cute range featuring a series of cute girl characters which began with seven students at Portoldam Women’s College before adding a few more friends to the group which now consists of: Koron, Aika, Raili, Himeno, Chiika, Miu, Lien, Yuta, Aoto, Nina, Chisa, Minami, Mia, Mio, Sera, Solane, and Tsukiha!

Azone is also the manufacturer of the Sahra’s a la Mode collection which features five different characters so far: Sahra, Maya, Alisa, Lycee, and Yuzuha. Each of the Sahra’s a la Mode dolls is 1/6th scale and comes in a Pure Neemo body.

Of course, they have a fair few anime collaborations too which also usually use the Pure Neemo body and come in a 1/6th scale most often measuring 9” to 12” in height. So far they’ve collaborated with Love Live!, Kantai Collection -KanColle-, Hetalia, Charlotte, No Game No Life, Nisekoi, and Working!! among others.

Additionally, Azone also produce the Hybrid Active Figure Character series which features a range of characters from anime and manga in a 1/3rd scale which is usually around 20” tall. The series currently includes characters from such popular series as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Infinite Stratos, Aldnoah.Zero, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Sword Art Online, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and The Seven Deadly Sins.

Other original series include the Purimyure Fairy Association: Li’l Fairy which is a collection of 1/12th scale dolls using the articulated Picco Neemo body which take the form of adorable little fairies who want to help you out around the house. So far there are four different characters: Lipu, Erunoe, Vel, and Riam.

Of course, Azone has its own independent original characters too and these luxury dolls usually come in a 48 to 50 cm size each using the Obitsu body making them extremely flexible and perfect for posing! There are three main lines in the original collection including: the Ellen series; the Black Raven series which includes the characters Lili, Cecily, Luluna, and Amane; and the Happiness Clover series which is centered around Yui Sakuranomiya.
