From March 29-31, the largest anime event in Washington, U.S, Sakura-Con was held. Many Japanese people from the industry participated in the event, most notably the singer Eir Aoi, who became popular seemingly overnight.

The mysterious Arsène Lupin III traveled the world stealing various treasures in the *Lupin III* manga and anime masterpieces. In 2011, “The World of Lupin III Exhibit” began in celebration of the TV anime’s 40th anniversary.
Applications are finally being accepted for this year’s Animax Anison Grand Prix, the contest that has brought to the world many anime song (anison) artists.
On April 7 at the Nissho Hall in Tokyo, a special event for *Kotoura-san* called “The ESP Research Society’s Special Extracurricular Activities: It’s Kotoura’s Inside Story, Right?” was held.
“Re:animation5 - Rave in Nakano -” was held on April 13 at the Nakano Station North Plaza in Tokyo, Japan. The event is a fusion of anime culture and club music funded by the crowdfunding service Campfire.
On March 30 on the White Stage at Anime Contents Expo (ACE) 2013, a talk and live stage show was held for the anime *Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince*, which began airing on April 4.
