On April 5 in the center of Akihabara, Tokyo, an itachari for the anime Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W was introduced. Itachari are eye-catching bicycles that are decked out in artwork of characters from manga, anime, and games.
The itachari was created to publicize the start of the second season of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san on April 7, as well as the event at Bellesalle Akihabara called “Love Doctor Nyaruko 2013.” The Nyaruko-themed itachari was also being ridden by a cosplayer dressed as Nyaruko. Passersby were stopping to take pictures of the itachari on their smartphones, and it seemed to pick up attention all throughout Akihabara. On the front of the itachari was written “You can ride” possibly meaning that fans could ride along with the Nyaruko cosplayer.
At the “Love Doctor Nyaruko 2013” event on April 7, a movie from the anime was screened, there was a discussion with the voice cast, and a cosplay contest was held.
