In celebration of the anime film Aura: Maryuinkouga Saigo no Tatakai which released this month, two shops in Shinjuku, Tokyo featured limited goods of Romeo Tanaka’s works. The store Marui One featured Jinrui wa Suitaishimashita and Kinokuniya’s main store featured Aura.
The original work for the Aura film is a light novel of the same name written by Romeo Tanaka. The story follows an ordinary male high schooler who meets a mysterious, beautiful female classmate, and his everyday life changes on a grand scale. Romeo also wrote the light novel Jinrui wa Suitaishimashita, the TV anime for which will begin this July.
The “Jinrui wa Suitaishimashita Fairy Shop” in Marui One sold charming goods including a special Japanese candy called Kintaro-ame as well as displayed production materials and figures of the fairies from the work. The new crane game “The Fairy Plushies” that will release in arcades this June was also part of the exhibit. This event was held from April 12-23.
The “Aura Premium Shop” held at Kinokuniya’s main store had exclusive goods. There were also special production materials from the film and autographed posters on display. This event was held from April 12-27.
