On April 20, the Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Café debuted in Singapore. The café is the second mobile maid café in Singapore. The talented members of the famous Taiwanese cosplaying duo Neneko and Momo also participated in the event. Neneko and Momo, as well as all the fully-trained maids of the Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Café were adorable. These sweet maids also have big hearts! Why? Because all of their profits from set meals are donated to a charity in Singapore.
We had the honor of interviewing one of the beautiful maids, Naoffi. Her cute answers made us smile! Read on to get to know a bit more about Naoffi and Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Café!
TOM: Could you please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about this event?
Naoffi: Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Café is a mobile café that coordinates with events to make appearances. This event was planned and organized by the youth committee of Mascot Parade Limited, with the support from NYC and MCCY. Our maids have different personalities (*dere* types and chara type) and we service goshujin-samas (masters) and ojou-samas (princesses) according to our individual styles! For example, we have tsundere and chuunibyou maids. (*≧▽≦)
TOM: Was the event a success? Is there anything different you would like to do next time?
Naoffi: I would say the event was a success because our goshujin-samas and ojou-samas gave us positive feedback! And, we were very glad to serve everyone! (*≧▽≦) Of course, if there are any suggestions for us, we will use them to improve! We will give it our all! Ｏ(≧▽≦)Ｏ
TOM: What is cosplay in Singapore like? What do people think of maids and maid cafés?
Naoffi: Cosplay in singapore is hobby-based, as everyone who cosplays in Singapore does it because they enjoy the hobby of cosplaying and enjoy portraying the characters they love. Maids and maid cafés in Singapore are rather rare, as not many people know about maid cafés or the maids who work there. But, over the years there have been people who have started to gain interest in the concept of maid cafés.
TOM: What does kawaii and moe mean to you? Feel free to express them by posing!
Naoffi: What does kawaii and moe mean to me? ( ・◇・)？ Personally, I feel that kawaii is more of showing off the cute side of things whereas moe means giving the feeling of being cute without deliberately trying. （人´∀`*）
TOM: What would you like to do from here, either personally or in regard to the next event?
Naoffi: Fuwa Fuwa Run Maid Café will definitely be back again for everyone but it is still uncertain as to when that will be. Hmm, personally, I will continue to enjoy cosplay while studying... (Ｔ▽Ｔ)
