Saitama of *One-Punch Man* is our Character of the Week!

Why did we choose Saitama? Well, we love his indifferent personality, simple lifestyle, and sometimes dopy appearance that appears weak at times, yet he actually has immeasurable strength, speed, reflexes, and stamina as well as supernatural senses, invulnerability, and can destroy foes with one punch whenever necessary! 👊

The Caped Baldy Saitama is a reminder that appearance has no relevance on a person’s abilities. Plus, we love that he is a role model for perseverance and giving it your all - even to the point of losing all your hair!

👊 He’s been compared to Goku and Superman both of which the author, whose pseudonym is One, took inspiration from.
👊 One-Punch Man was a pun on Anpanman, and Saitama’s hero costume is the same colors of Anpanman’s costume, but with the colors reversed.
👊 Saitama’s name was derived after Saitama, Japan where One was raised and currently resides.
👊 Many Mob Psycho 100 references are in the series such as a Mob Psycho 100 manga on the floor next to Saitama’s futon.
👊 The more serious he is in a fight, the more powerful his techniques become.
👊 He is even immune to all insults, usually ignoring them or telling the person to get a hobby, unless they are about his baldness.
👊 He always refers to himself as Saitama instead of his given hero name, Caped Baldy.
