Tir Na Nog* is the second full-length, self-produced album from Tokyo Otaku Mode Special Creator, Sora Yuizuki. A year after her first album, PhilosSophia, Sora Yuizuki released Tir Na Nog, which is themed after “the distance between people” and “missed connections.” The album features nine excellent tracks which again feature an eclectic mix of styles from progressive compositions and ethnic music to drum and bass and ballads.
This album is inspired by Sora’s interactions with the outside world, and, truth be told, it’s recommended for people who prefer their music a little bit dark. If people can be divided into groups according to their way of thinking - positive, negative or indifferent––then musicians are definitely on the “negative” side, but Sora Yuizuki has managed to pack in a little positivity nevertheless.

What does it mean to be alive?
There is joy and there is suffering,
sometimes it feels as if I’ll be swallowed by these waves.
But then, suddenly when I look around me I begin to feel.
I’m the only one who can understand the world in which I myself am living.
There are emotions which can only be felt by me,
and feelings that I can’t share with anyone.
The one and only me, is creating my one and only world.
It may be that it is precisely this world that is the meaning in being alive.
