Blood Lad is a much-discussed TV anime based on Yuuki Kodama’s popular manga and is scheduled for broadcast this July. On March 30, information on the anime was released in quick succession.
Blood Lad is a vampire action story centered around the communications between Staz, the boss of a district in the Demon World, and Fuyumi Yanagi, a girl who becomes a ghost.
First, the opening and ending themes for the anime were announced. The opening is titled “ViViD” and performed by May’n, who voiced Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier (vocals only) and is also known for singing the theme song to Accel World. The PV trailer for the song has already been released.
The ending theme is “Bloody Holic” sung by Yuuka Nanri. Most fans might know her for “Akatsuki no Kuruma,” an insert song for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, which she performed under the name FictionJunction Yuuka.
In addition, the production of a Blu-ray disc of an OVA of the anime was also decided. The Blu-ray disc will contain episodes that won’t be shown on TV and will be sold together with the 10th volume of the manga, which is scheduled to come out this December. Since the manga containing the Blu-ray is by order only, those interested will need to pre-order it before Sept. 17.
Moreover, a new PV trailer and cuts for the anim were released on the official site. They’re a must-see!
