The *Wake Up, Girls!* anime series began broadcasting on Jan. 10. To coincide with the beginning of the series, a film adaptation was released as well. What really sets this project apart though is that the rookie voice actors behind the characters are actually performing as the idol group in the real world!
Trailers for anime that will begin airing this spring have already started to be released. Here we’ll introduce 12 titles with trailers that have been released, including Season 2 of *JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure* and *Gokukoku no Brynhildr*.
*Black Butler* has been growing in popularity ever since it began its serialization in the magazine *Monthly GFantasy* in 2006. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the debut of the series’ author Yana Toboso, a special exhibit titled “Black Butler Original Artwork Exhibit: The World of Yana Toboso,” which features her early artwork for the series, was held in Tokyo.
Goods for first week moviegoers have also been announced along with a 1-hour stage greeting with 14 cast members to take place on the movie’s release day at Shinjuku Wald 9.
At Jump Festa 2014, an event for Shueisha’s four comic magazines held last December, new *One Piece* prize figures on display were the talk of the event.
*Wake Up, Girls!* depicts a success story of seven young girls who all dream of becoming top idols and band together to inch their way closer to achieving their dreams.
Beginning in the morning on Dec. 28 (Sat), the area around Bellesalle Akihabara was crowded with people. The reason for the crowds was the event Huge Dengeki Bunko Winter Exhibit that was held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the major light novel label Dengeki Bunko.
