Toy maker Takara Tomy Arts has begun developing products for its new series that include Microman Arts and SRDX Plus. According to the company, this marks its first time in five years entering the hobby world that is comprised of figures and high-end toys. Coming before any serious product development, a photo session of the brands’ new figures was held on Jan. 29.
Takara created the movable figure series Microman in 1974. The Microman series was the first to develop figures with free posing functionality, and it has been highly supported by fans for many years.
At the photo session, matching with the current trend, the Kantai Collection figure “Microman Arts Kantai Collection - Kan Colle - Aircraft Carrier Akaga” was unveiled. New figures of characters from the popular anime Love Live! including Kotori Minami, Nozomi Tōjō, and Hanayo Koizumi were also a big hit. All of these figures are planned to short release this spring.
Don’t miss the onslaught of new figures from Takara Tomy Arts this spring and beyond!
