Two years have passed since the second season, so it’s a great time for a new one! The next anime series for Non Non Biyori was announced on the sleeve of vol. 11 of the manga, published on May 23.
No other information was revealed besides the fact of the production itself, so it is unclear whether the staff and cast of the previous series will reprise their roles. The first two seasons (2013 and 2015, respectively) were directed by Kawatsura Shinya, written by Yoshida Reiko, and produced by Silver Link.
Non Non Biyori is a popular manga by Atto that is currently being serialized in Monthly Comic Alive. Taking place in the small rural town of Asahigaoka, it follows the peaceful lives of the students of the Asahigaoka Branch School, which only has five students, who are all in different grades in elementary and middle school.
