The opening day of Tokyo One Piece Tower, a theme park where visitors can experience the world of One Piece, has finally been confirmed. The theme park will open inside Tokyo Tower Foot Town on Friday, March 13, 2015. With attractions, of course, live entertainment shows, restaurants, shops and more, it seems it will be an intensely charming park.
Attractions at Tokyo One Piece Tower announced thus far include “Chopper’s Thousand Sunny No. 1 Expedition,” “Nami’s Casino House,” “Zoro’s Ittouryodan,” “Brook’s Horror House” and others themed after popular characters. Newly announced this time is “Find Robin’s Poneglyph.” From what we can tell, it seems this attraction will have visitors searching for a hidden item. Look forward to even more news to be revealed in the coming weeks including an attraction themed after the main character: Monkey D. Luffy.
Day tickets to the park cost 3,200 yen for adults and 1,600 yen for kids (4-12 years old), advance tickets costs 3,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for kids (all prices include tax), and children 3 and under get in free. Advance ticket sales for designated days will begin at 7-Eleven locations countrywide in Japan at 10:00 a.m. (JST) on Jan. 2. The park’s business hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except for opening day when the park will open at 1:00 p.m.
One Piece is a huge hit work that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since 1997. The broadcast of the TV anime began in 1999, and it continues to be loved by fans even today as a series that represents Japanese animation. There have been events and attractions held to date for the series that have attracted crowds, but Tokyo One Piece Tower is the series’ first permanent theme park. This new famous locale in the heart of Tokyo will likely draw throngs of bustling visitors.
