Comic Market Takes on a New Challenge: Calling All Creators Around the Globe!

Have you completed the entry to the upcoming Comiket Special 6? If not, the entry deadline is approaching! Entry will end on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at 9:59 a.m. (EST) / 2:59 p.m. (GMT).

As a special privilege to the creator circles from abroad who enter, a digital download edition of the manga software Clip Studio Paint EX by CELSYS, Inc. is available for free. Also, participation is guaranteed for circles from abroad who have entered.

Usually, due to the number of applications, all entries must go through a lottery system and only those have been picked get to participate as a circle. However, for Comiket Special 6 circles from abroad will be exempt from this lottery.

Comiket Special 6 will take place at the end of March, which is just in time for the cherry blossoms to be in bloom. With the fall of the exchange rate for yen, you’ll even get to do more shopping and get more for your money.

This may be the opportune moment you’ve been waiting for to visit Japan and present your works of art!

Once every five years, a special session of Comic Market, known as Comiket Special, is held to celebrate a particular theme. The theme of Comiket Special 6 will be "Otaku Summit 2015" and it will aim to encourage interaction among fans of otaku culture from around the world.
