An event has landed in Japan that focuses on the world-popular creative group ThreeA. For the first time in Japan, Good Smile Company will be putting on ThreeA’s art and toy show “Let’s Grow Old Together!” from July 25 to Aug. 5. In addition to this event taking place at Shibuya Parco Part 1 Gallery X, Wonder Festival 2014 [Summer] will also begin on July 27. Here, the world’s greatest creators will be introduced.
At ThreeA’s art and toy show “Let’s Grow Old Together!” will be art prints and sculptures by ThreeA’s frontman, Ashley Wood. There will also be models that embody Wood’s characteristic worlds and a lineup of toys made by ThreeA. Their high quality artistic toys have metal coatings that make them look just like the real thing. These are a must see even for those who aren’t figure fans.
Ashley Wood is known for many graphic novels including Popbot and World War Robot. He is also famous for the comic version of Konami’s Metal Gear Solid series. He formed ThreeA six years ago. This important exhibit will retrace ThreeA’s steps since then.
The venue won’t just be filled with works on display, there will also be limited toys and items commemorating the event for sale. Also, Ashley Wood and producer Kim Fung Wong will attend the exhibit on its opening day, July 25, and take part in a signing. The signing will be held twice at 14:00 and 19:00.
