World Cosplay Summit 2013, an event that is the “summit” for many cosplayers around the world, was held in Aichi Prefecture on Aug. 3. One week before the event, topics related to World Cosplay Summit increased all at once online. Among these is the original video “Sugosugiru www” by the performance team Shikon who shine magnificently as the world champions of World Cosplay Summit 2012.
Shikon is comprised of cosplayers Kaito and Yukari Shimotsuki. At World Cosplay Summit, they weren’t just focused on their outer appearances, but also their stage performance as a whole that included acting and choreography. Although it was only two-minutes long, the performance had action, background music, sound effects, and a stage backdrop that were all prepared in advance and took considerable time to complete. Now, the world champion team Shikon has uploaded a video of them in action online. The video seems to be one that was created between them and their cosplay friends, but the quality is anything but lacking. Take note also of the flood of comments they have received from overseas fans.
