Sweet Treats for “Natsume’s Book of Friends” Go on Sale!

A new tie-up campaign for the hugely popular shojo manga series Natsume’s Book of Friends, which has been made into an anime four times, is now taking place. The goods for this campaign are being produced by Animax Broadcast Japan, which oversees the anime channel Animax. Let’s take a look at the goods.

The goods for this campaign include sweet buns and confections. It’s no secret that Nyanko-sensei is a glutton, but you may not know that his favorite dish is manju (steamed buns that come with a variety of fillings) from the Nanatsuji shrine. The confections and sweet buns for this campaign were produced with Nyanko-sensei in mind.

The treats include varieties of custard donuts, dumplings, manju, and mushipan (steamed buns). These sweet treats went on sale at Family Marts nationwide in Japan on Jan. 8. For those of you who are fans of Natsume’s Book of Friends get to a Family Mart soon!
