The original anime Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto, which ran from October 2010 to April 2011, is being made into a movie! The animated movie Star Driver: The Movie will release on Feb. 9, 2013. The anime always had an abundance of personal characters and mecha, making it an anime anyone can enjoy!
The theme song of the movie will be performed by the band 9nine (pronounced as "nine"). Since 9nine is a favorite band among fans, they were a perfect fit.
At first, 9nine was a band of nine female members, however the band is now made up of only five: Uki Satake, Sayaka Nishiwaki, Kanae Yoshii, Umika Kawashima, and Hirona Murata. The band was a sure pick since they have already made music for Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto. They performed the ending theme song “Cross Over” for season one and the opening theme song “Shining Star” for the second season. Many fans also agree there couldn’t be a more fitting band!
Their song “Colorful” will be used for the movie, making it their third collaboration with the series. Together with the movie’s story, we can’t wait to hear the final song when the movie is released this February.
