Type-Moon
Type-Moon is a Japanese media company best known for its visual novels created by Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi. Beginning back in 1998 with Kara no Kyoukai, Type-Moon then moved onto the adult-orientated Tsukihime in 2000 with a Plus Disc in 2001. This was followed by a sequel, Kagetsu Tohya, and a Plus Disc which were repackaged into a 3-disc set known as Tsuki-Bako.
Following these successes, Type-Moon then went on to collaborate with French-Bread to create the massively influential 2D doujin fighting game Melty Blood, its sequel Melty Blood Re-ACT and a patch Melty Blood Re-ACT Final Tuned as well as an arcade port Melty Blood: Act Cadenza.
Type-Moon then became a commercial organization in 2004 and launched their most famous franchise which began with Fate/stay night. Later adapted into a smash hit TV anime by Studio Deen and a manga published in Monthly Shonen Ace, the Fate franchise has continued to expand with several spin-offs and continuations such as Fate/hollow ataraxia, Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Stay Heaven’s Feel, as well as the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya series.
