KOTOBUKIYA
First founded in 1953, Kotobukiya is now one of the most well-regarded toy, figure and novelty goods manufacturers in Japan. Working with some of the top sculptors in the industry, Kotobukiya manufactures statues and figures inspired by the biggest anime franchises and international pop culture phenomenons such as US superheroes and blockbuster movies.
Kotobukiya’s ArtFX+ series celebrates international characters including comic book heroes like Batman, Superman, other characters from DC Comics and the Marvel universe, or movies like the Star Wars franchise, while the ArtFX J collection features Japanese characters often from the world of anime and manga. They also run a series of attractive female figures from comic books and video games in their popular Bishoujo product line.
Kotobukiya also produce a wide range of model kits, some of them using the company’s uniquely interchangeable and highly customizable Frame Arms design, as well as a series of mini, chibi-style action figures known as the Cu-Poche series.
As well as figures and kits, Kotobukiya also produce other forms of plastic goods including homeware and novelty goods including the massively popular Star Wars and samurai sword chopsticks as well as other kinds of kitchen equipment.
