Kids Logic has announced the first figure in its new Action Nation series will be Akuma from Capcom’s immortal fighting game series Street Fighter. Akuma (which is Japanese for “Demon” or “Devil”) first appeared in Street Fighter II Turbo as a secret character. Since then, he has become one of the most popular characters in the franchise. He is Gouken’s younger brother, and an adoptive uncle to Ryu. While his fighting style is similar to these character’s, Akuma’s willingness to give into the evil energy known as “Satsui no Hado” has possessed his soul, rid him of his humanity, and given him his demon-like appearance and strength. This Akuma figure is a 1/6 scale model and stands at approximately 30 cm tall. The figure is incredibly detailed, wearing an authentic dark blue cloth Keikogi, a knotted rope belt, his former master Goutetsu’s prayer bead necklace, and knitted straw sandals. Akuma also has over 20 points of articulation and LED eyes that light up in a fiery orange color.
