Despite being originally featured in the Marvel UK comic Captain Britain in a minor role as the titular hero’s sister, Psylocke (alter ego of Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock) most frequently appears in one of Marvel’s most popular franchises: X-Men. In her original incarnation, she was shown to have precognitive and telepathic powers, but assumed the telekinetic powers of Jean Grey upon joining the X-Men. Then sometime later she also assumed the body, skills, and personality of Kwannon - a Japanese female ninja mutant. Here, she is seen in her ninja outfit from the spin-off to the original X-men series, X-Force, based on a new illustration from respected artist Shunya Yamashita. Caught in a characteristic action pose, Psylocke looks as if she’s just dealt a killer blow to a villainous foe but will soon be ready to strike again! This great figure is another fantastic addition to Kotobukiya’s “Bishoujo” lineup of American superheroes given a Japanese twist - perfect for any comic-book-loving otaku’s collection!
