All of the programs have ended and this year’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS), which began on Sept. 20, has come to a close. This year recorded the event’s second highest attendance ever at 268,446.
Over the event’s four days this year as well, the venue was bustling with demos of the latest games, events with game developers and talented creators, and cosplay photography, just to name a few. Among all the goings on, gameplay video streaming services and game software specialized for VR gathered particular interest.
There were also lively B2B business discussions going on during this year’s event. There were 1,011 businesses registered with the business matching system “Asia Business Gateway,” considerably more than last year’s 875.
Next year’s TGS is planned to be held at Makuhari Messe from Sept. 15–18.
