The Fruits Basket reboot anime has released a teaser video featuring the new voices of Sohma Yuki, Kyou, Shigure, and more!
Originally created by Takaya Natsuki, the phenomenally popular manga ran in Hana to Yume from 1998 to 2006. It follows the adventures of high school girl Honda Tohru who finds herself living with a wealthy classmate and discovers his family is subject to an ancient curse. The series was previously adapted as a TV anime in 2001, but the upcoming 2019 adaptation will be a reboot of the franchise.
The new anime will star Iwami Manaka as Honda Tohru, Shimazaki Nobunaga as Sohma Yuki, Uchida Yuma as Sohma Kyou, and Nakamura Yuichi as Sohma Shigure. Attack on Titan: Junior High’s Ibata Yoshihide will direct, with Kishimoto Taku handling series composition, Shindo Masaru providing character design, and TMS Entertainment producing.
Fruits Basket is slated to air in Apr. 2019.
