Phos from Land of the Lustrous Gets 1/8 Scale Figure!

Good Smile Company is releasing a 1/8 scale figure of Phosphophyllite, or Phos, the protagonist of Land of the Lustrous!

Land of the Lustrous is an ongoing manga by Ichikawa Haruko that is being serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon. Set in a world where jewels have taken on the form of people, the story follows Phos, a jewel person who is deemed weak and useless for only having a hardness of 3.5. Land of the Lustrous also received a 12-episode anime series, which is currently at its 6th episode.

The figure is sculpted by none other that Iwanaga Sakurako from “Shokubutsu Shoujo-en” (“Shokuen” for short), who molded the fragile Phos in a dynamic yet ethereal composition highlighting her slender lines. Translucent parts were used to give her that glowy, jewel-like appearance, and her hair is coated with high-shine metallic paint to make it look like actual gem shards.

She comes on a special base that also features the snail-like creature she befriended, standing 9.8” tall in total. Phos is priced at 11,111 yen not including tax. You can pre-order her at Good Smile's online shop or Tokyo Otaku Mode.
