Popular social media game The Idolm@ster: SideM is celebrating its third anniversary this year! A few developments were announced at “The Idolm@ster: SideM 3rd Anniversary St@rting Signal!!! 2017” held on July 15, such as the release of the upcoming anime adaptation’s theme song “Reason!!” and a third live tour titled “The Idolm@ster: SideM 3rd Stage”, which will be visiting four cities: Chiba, Sendai, Fukuoka, and Shizuoka.
The first press limited edition of the single will also come with a Blu-ray featuring a non-credit version of the opening video and a digest of the live footage from the “Greeting Tour”.
What makes SideM different from the rest of the series is that you scout and produce male idols. The game also puts an emphasis on change, as most of the game’s idols had previously held various jobs ranging from lawyer and surgeon to pilot before starting to chase their dream as idols.
The anime series is set to air in October and will feature character design by Sogabe Shuji, known for his work on God Eater as well as the manga adaptations of Persona 3 and Persona 4, and his artist group FiFS.
