March Comes in like a Lion Film & Anime Exhibition Opening in Mid-March!

March Comes in like a Lion is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its serialization this year, and with the anime nearing its end and the live-action movie starring Kamiki Ryunosuke coming out in two parts on March 18 and April 22, there couldn’t be a more perfect time for the “March Comes in like a Lion Film & Anime Exhibition”!

Showcasing items from both the series and the upcoming film, the exhibition will feature anime key frames and settings, the outfits and accessories of Kiriyama Rei, the Kawamoto sisters, and the other shogi players used for the movie, as well as videos and music, merging the two worlds through the feelings of the respective directors and staff and cast members. It makes for a great spontaneous program but you can also purchase your tickets in advance and get a bonus ticket file~

Following Kiriyama, an isolated, 17-year-old pro shogi player, March Comes in like a Lion captured the hearts of many fans, regardless of age and gender, with its portrayal of love between parent and child, siblings, friends, and teacher and student. Souls clash and Kiriyama grows both as a shogi player and a person on a road filled with drama and tear-jerking moments alike.
