With the craze nowhere near conclusion, SHINE has decided to celebrate their product and the love of cats everywhere with a campaign titled "Real Itazura Bank Photo and Movie Contest." From June 6 to July 20, fans all over can put their kitties’ unpredictable and zany personalities to good use.
On the off-chance that you are not already familiar Itazura Bank, it is a bank toy featuring a kitty inside a box. When a coin is placed on the plate located on top of the box, the kitty will pop it’s curious little head out of the box while its little paw snatches up the coin and drags it inside!
If that sounds ridiculously cute, it is...which is why SHINE is confident this contest will turn heads and make headlines. After all, the real deal must be completely irresistible!

Right now, there's an unprecedented cat-frenzy in Japan. One glance and you can see them everywhere, from photobooks to cat cafes to animated movies. Their likeness can be found across a countless number of goods, and that very craze and obsession with our feline counterparts has been dubbed "nekonomikusu." And despite the fun that comes out of such a craze, there's no denying its power - the economic impact in 2015 showed a growing multi-million dollar sector for cat-related sales.
Since 2010, SHINE has produced a number of goods in the Itazura Bank line. Even now, it remains a fan-favorite for cat lovers. It was clear that appreciation and gratitude were there, but how exactly could those feelings be rounded up and showcased...? From that concept came the "Real Itazura Bank Photo and Movie Contest"!

Application Process
1. Fill out the required information on the website's application, such as name and address (this information is confidential).
2. An Itazura Bank coin (x1) and sticker (x2) will be sent to your address.
3. Freely choose a cardboard box of any size that can fit your cat. Attached to the box should be the Itazura Bank goods sent to you, and it should be positioned in a way that will have your cat poking out of the top.
4. Place the coin appropriately and take lots of pictures of what happens next.
5. Using the form on the website, submit your photos and videos.
6. Feel free to continue for as long as you want until your cat gets bored enough to no longer provide any exciting footage and scenes.
